The reason warfork exists at all is because warsow is crippled because they have an owner who doesnt give a about the game. He owns warsow because hes 'company' released it, goes by the name 'chesseur de bots' and that is the only game this company/agent has released. That is rather a side effect of the people behind the fork not wanting to get into legal trouble with their steam release (some of the original devs are opposed to that). warsow is basically owned by a person named 'solomonk' who does not play the game nor does he care about it. warsow is basically owned by a person named 'solomonk' who does not play the game nor does he care about it. to my understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) the driving force behind this fork really isn't primarily the idea to keep only Free/libre assets. Forks happen only when there are problems, and an unplayable game is a huge problem, so the fork is very well justified. Well for me and a lot of other people there has never been any Warsow, since proprietary games are unplayable for those who value freedom. But the people around Warsow felt the need to split the pretty small comunity even more as there are two forks and the original Warsow being in development.
Does anyone play warsow free#
MisterBensen :cause for me there will always be only one Warsow. Warsow is a free shooting multiplayer game in first person (FPS) based on Qfusion motor, a modification of the engine used for Quake 2 GPL.
